2nd 1uz swap into a 1988 4Runner
Well my other truck isn't even done yet but but I needed to get the donor car apart and out of my driveway. Besides, I'm trying to keep up pace with RMA but it ain't easy. He's quick.
My other 1uz pickup is destined to be a trailer queen so this project I want to build as more of a drivable expedition truck. ˟My plans are a solid axle swap, 35's and a 2000 4runner elocker rear axle and I will be moving my truck front axle on the 4Runner once I get my FJ80 axle under the pickup. ˟The 4runner is in really good condition other than some rust in the front fenders, which I will be replacing. ˟It's an SR5 that I've had for a few years now just sitting in the yard. ˟The 3.0 v6 is junk. ˟I don't think the truck was ever off road.
I paid $800 for the 4Runner (probably more than I should but the truck was so clean) and $800 for the donor car. ˟I already sold the 4Runners SR5 wheels with tires for $150.00.
This is the donor. ˟ It's white just like the other donor car but this one is a 1995. ˟I won't make as much money parting this one out as I did the other one but as it sits now I made back what I paid for it so the rest of the car is all swap funds. ˟ The tires are brand new.

I did an automatic and duals in the pickup so I'm gonna try a 5spd and single t-case with 4 to 1 gears.
This is the custom bellhousing for the r series transmission.
