2jz ?'s

2jz ?'s
So when I am finished paying off my car in 5 months ('04 SRT-4), I am planning on selling it and picking up a 88-9X 4x4 pickup, along with a 2jz-gte swap. I plan on using the A340 that comes with the engine, and using a inchworm pre-runner adapter to hook up to the x-fer case. So far I am wondering, will I need to cut the rubber piece off of the output shaft on the Aristo transmission to use the adapter? and also, how much longer is the transmission/adapter/xfer case going to be than the stock 22re setup. Just trying to find out some info to see how much the driveshaft will have to be shortened. I will be doing the wiring and all custom work myself, and as I understand there is not a set of transmission mounts available through BIC so I will be fabbing up my own. Anyhow, any insight would be great. Thanks

Just follow the instructions that come with the adapter from inchworm, as for the length for your combination, no one can give you an estimate as to how short you are going to need that rear shaft because that also depends on how far forward or back you mount the motor.

Yeah I guess the length isn't all that important at this point, only the fact that it will have to be shortened. I've got a new job now so hopefully I can pay the car off faster and go ahead and pick up my yota!
