1UZFE swap in a 92 xtra cab completed (picture heavy)
Just Picked up a lexus SC400 1995 for 750, drove it home, and tested out the motor. I dont like the automatic, since it seems like it sucks a bit of power away. I had to pick up a 5speed r150 with low miles back in summer '11 since i blew a tranny during a road trip...
In the beginning of december, i went on a little snow wheeling trip around Mt Hood with a couple friends, and ended up with hole in my radiator. And the 3.slow is starting to knock, so looks like time for a swap!
I am going to be doing this swap in my friends shop, so i have access to all tools i will need.
Stoked to get this project moving!

past couple days, and months
Over the summer i did a SAS.
On July 4th, i put a flag on my cb antenna while driving around
On Christmas eve, some foreigner hit me while i was driving normally down a main road, pushed me out of my lane too. Whatever nationality it was, didn't speak my language so i had to involve cops to exchange info.. So the truck is finally going into the shop to get a new paintjob on the whole drivers side.
During December, i was helping a buddy rebuild his Supra. That thing is a beast!
I also drove the truck around a little bit.
Past couple Days:
Heres the SC i picked up
That motor sounds more sexy after i took off 4 of the mufflers!

UPDATE! Completed. exhaust shop tomorrow (:
Taking the truck to my buddys shop. all loaded up and ready to floor the gas the whole 5 minute drive.
R150f to 1uz bellhousing to tranny adapter plate all done by ballistic fab
Bolted to bellhousing and clutch in place
Decided not to reinvent the wheel. these are the motor mounts. i am using the factory motor brackets.
Still got some wiring to do.. not to bad though!
Clearance issue.. makes it more difficult to mount a fan. also had to remove a/c.
before picture of the wiring harness.
After i rebuilt the lexus to toyota harness. I think it looks a bit better!
heres the frankenstein water hoses
Heres a couple videos of her running, open headers

@Proline: the wiring was pretty straightforward in the swap. once i got the sc400 ecu harness alone, i just deleted about 60 wires from the harness. your gonna love the extra power in a 2wd. i can drift quite a bit even though mines lifted a little, just because of the extra power.
@R.DesJardin: this v8 sounds damn nice in the upper rpm range, i cant wait to hear it once i put in some cams (:

Update: The first ''thinned out'' wiring harness i had a buddy help me with didn't turn out very good, so I figured out a better idea. Using the female end of the 1uz engine to body harness and the male end of the 3vze's engine harness, an adapter harness was made, so limited wires had to be repinned. This is a great idea and i would definitely recommend it to anybody doing this swap.
Now I am planning out what to do with the suspension.. So far I have coilovers and full size dana axles with lockers in mind. Itll be sitting on 40s most likely. Stay tuned.

PIC HEAVY UPDATE
The 1UZ swap has turned out pretty solid. I've been busy for awhile so its been on the back burner.
Now that its got time and cashola thrown at it, its pretty fun!
37s fit well 37.5x14.5r15 Toyo open country with trail gear 3" front 4" rear springs. Doesnt rub somehow
Oh yeah, the 1UZ is purring like a kitten
1UZ. Fox remote reservoirs tucked away.
Another useful tool, the 2005 Dirtymax
05 Dirtymax putting in work. Kinda
Updating front spring hanger.
Led Headlights done. Custom relay harness built. And the daily driver : 06 Audi A4 Avant 6MT tuned.
2018 September backpacking- Northern California. Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
View from the top of the mountain in the previous picture. Northern California. Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Fire season sure does bring out some killer sunsets!
