Sweet! Then a basic stick welder will do the job. There is an HF 80 amp DC inverter welder that should be able to pull that off with ease.
Love the rig Toyminator.

1uz swap with IFS
Hey NorthIdaho, do you have a build thread or photo album of your 1uz swap? Most specifically, im interested in how you did your motor mounts and exhaust manifolds around the IFS which I am keeping.. Thanks in advance..

I don't know who's this is but I saved it when I was researching my swap. You may also want to read some of the swaps done my the user RMA. He's done three of them and all were IFS.

No, I decided not to do a thread because none of my swap is too awfully original. Just pm me and I can happily answer any questions. I did take alot of pictures during the swap though. for the mounts what I basically did was torch the stock mount off and make a braced platform to mount the poly donuts through. The mount welds to the frame and I also used a small piece of angle to weld it to the ifs bracket. After welding, I drilled a hole for the mounts.

Oh and for the exhaust manifolds I used a cheap set of stainless headers off ebay. To make them fit you just have to move the outermost pipe on the drivers side in and down. Works well and was pretty easy, but I still have a small leak at the collector from my crappy welding. I have pics of that to if I could figure out how to upload them here.

Before, after and 9 months later. My motor is offset 1" but still wouldn't be hard to clear even with no offset. If your engine is lower than mine that would help.

Can't get the videos to embed but here are a couple of short videos crawling "Double Whammy" at Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch. unfortunately the camera angle doesn't show the ledges and how steep the hill is.
