better off just trading for a newer 4runner. The cost of having some else do it is not even worth it. You could probably get a 99 limited 4runner with low miles for around 8k when the cost minus a trade rather than having pay parts and labor.

He could just trade in the 4Runner he has now for a 1999 Limited, BUT WHY would you want to trade in one of those crazy rare 2-door 2nd gen 4Runners (read his sig) ?? I'd just keep the stock engine instead of swapping in a 5VZ since their super rare but it's your choice.
Dang you've got one of those Nissan Patrols too, lucky!!

Thats right...its a 2 door so I don't wanna swap it for another truck. Plus its completely cherry rust wise BUT as always the darn 3.slow is running on 5 cylinders. In any case...the guy out in Oregon was asking for very little money ALL in. Anyone have any experience with them? If not, any other shop suggestions?
Yeah, if i could take the Patrol to the states I would just do that...unfotunately thats not even an option!

i did my swap in less than 2 weeks workin on weekends mainly and and hour every day during the week. wrapped it up for 2100 just in parts.

Sounds just about right i think i was up around 2500 but that doesnt include 2 trips to spokane for parts either.

I know the swap isn't too hard, but theres sevral problems that make me need someone to do it. One I don't have a garage, and the biggest one, I'm in and out of the country all the time, so no time to do it. Basically I want to have it done while I'm out traveling so I can have a daily driver when I get back. Anyway, thanks for the help. I'll go with this guy after all I guess.
