Messed up with the hurry.... Oil Capacity after 3.4 swap?

Good day YT! I've been happily driving my 3.4 swap after a 2-year work (dont ask), and during the swap, I never really realized that the oil capacity of the 3.4 will change when I change the dipstick and the oil pan. I'm driving a 3.4 1997 engine with a 3.0 oilpan and dipstick. The original dipstick of the 3.4 IS STILL THERE, but sealed. From previous experiences, does anybody know what is the correct quantity of oil on the engine? I'm currently using the 3.0 dipstick, but I have no idea of knowing if its correct or not. Any suggestions?

Since my oil pressure gauge works, I can easily keep an eye on it in case I put in too much oil. About 3/4 of the whole gauge should be the maximum pressure I see, right?

Oil pressure gauge is not a good indicator of oil level. Just go by the dipstick

I ran the same setup that you are describing for about two years until i just swapped the pan for the T100 pan, tube and stick.

I used about 5.5qts and it made the full mark on the stick accurate using the 3.0 stick.

Yes, but (assuming your read my original post) if I have unusual high pressure, it could be an indicator of too much oil, same thing with low pressure. But I will just pour 5.5 quarts and see what the dipstick says.

Oil pressure is not an indicator of oil level. If your pressure is high, you have a restricion, faulty oil pump, wrong oil, etc... If your pressure is low, you have excessive engine wear, faulty pump, wrong viscosity, overheating, etc....If your oil pressure is low because of low oil level, your engine is probably already damaged and will likely need a rebuild

Might want to check it with a real gauge. Mine was super high all of a sudden and I replace the gauge with a mechanical AutoMeter and its fine. Stock gauge was crapping out.
