They go by that seller name; the business is ACS US. I haven't seen them list one, but the scoops are out there from other sources. It's a 'Stang copy that mounts with tape or screws. Mine is taped on- no problems even in the Mane sonw & wind yet. The supercharger sticks out just a weee bit, so the scoop gives me plenty of room.

Dale- I want to see him cook some eggs & bacon on there (a Sterno on top of the intake maybe?). Hmmmmmm.... maybe he's on to something!

I told her (I think Marge is a lady) she should paint some cookies on the pan LOL.

There is something good that can be said about a person for being practical enough to use a cookie sheet to keep the SF rain out of your engine bay, but even more can be said for being humble enough to post pics of it.

Cookies- there ya go. Ditto on having the humility- I'll be the first to admit, there are a few pictures that weren't uploaded from my build. The hood cuts weren't pretty to start with... my nibbler turned into more of a 'folder'. What a mess; thank god it didn't warp the hood.

Well. i guess im going with an iron skillet on my hood. So instead of a anti freeze smell coming from my 3.0 on the trail, Im going to have Jimmie Dean's beacon and egg's..hahaha....

No real shaping needed- it actually has a flat bottom. The only detail I don't like (hardly noticeable) is that the very front 'teeth' are up on the tape, so you can see about a 1/16 or 1/8" gap under the very tips.... I went with the tape where there is enough support. My thinking on that was that the tape mounting would allow more bumps/movement if needed (vice moulding it in).

FFM, sorry I didn't get a chance to add to this earlier. This is the thread concerning my solution to the problem. I have as much height as I want on the Taco 16" wheels and BFG A/Ts, so I didn't want to do a body lift. I haven't had the opportunity to get any further on the project, but I'm looking forward to finishing it this summer, and at least getting the whole hood into a single color!

take the braces out and if that is not enough slam the hood on it
just kiddin i would say do a body lift or if you really want to go custom you could always build shorter motor mounts

GUARANTEED way to dimple the hood from the inside! I initially did that, knowing that I would be cutting a hole to clear the front corner of the plenum. It did dimple the hood, as I expected, but it also showed me where I needed to cut the hole.

Even after cutting the hole, after driving that way for a few thousand miles, I had a lot of rub marks all over the intake from the edges of the hole. The experience gave me a whole new appreciation for just how much an engine moves around, as it loads up and unloads while driving.

I scored a cheap replacement intake from someone who had S/C'd their engine, so I'll install that when I get done with the hood (and, hopefully, get CallmeJ to powdercoat it!)

I just scored a spare hood for my truck for $25 bucks at the local salvage yard, too bad its a diffrent color. That will be my template for the 3.4 hole and hood scoop. Thank's guy's for all your reply's.
