help can't find my starter relay

1991 4runner 4x4 with a a/t, I'm having trouble finding the starter relay. doesn't seam to be under the hood in the fuse box, or behind the driver kick panel. is there another location for it? this is what I have. pic with the red arrow i was told that it was it but it's the defrost relay on my rig.

nope, it's the defrost relay this 4runner is an auto, I guess it doesn't have a starter relay because of the neutral safty switch

Oh...right. Relay is on M/T rigs only. I guess that top relay is your taillights. Auto just runs through the neutral safety switch.

It's wierd, the location chart doesn't distinguish between M/T and A/T, but the wiring diagram does. I hadn't checked the diagram before.

The auto did not have a starter relay instead they use the neutral start switch on the tranny shifter ( closed in park or neutral)
