3.4 swap and a 5 speed swap!!!

I'm doing a 3.4 swap and I'll also be doing a 5 speed swap at the same time on the same vehicle. This makes my 4th swap. I have a couple more after this one also.

Nothing fancy here. I have a 5000 mile motor for the swap. The motor came out of a 2003 Tundra. I'll be swapping over an intake and wiring harness from a 1997 4Runner and I'll also be converting the wiring harness from Automatic to 5 Speed.

After that it'll all be going into a 1995 Limited 4Runner. The 4Runner currently has an Automatic but the customer would prefer it have a 5 speed. Who am I to say no.

Nice clean 5000 mile motor. It's a beautiful thing.

Here's the victim. It's a Limited 1995 4Runner. The 3.0 had a small knock in it.

Engine bay all cleaned up waiting for it's transplant. I still have to pull the auto.

I'll try to keep this post updated with some good tech.

Here's a little tech.

Here's a picture of the "Oil Pressure Sending Unit" on the 3.0. It's located on the driver side front of the motor. This needs to be swapped over to the 3.4 so your oil pressure gauge works.

The 3.4 Sending Unit is in the exact same place. Just unscrew it and screw the 3.0 in it's place.

Did you already do the body lift. Also does a manual ecu and a auto ecu share the same plugs. I have a 3.4 from a 2002 auto and need to stick it in a manual 91 3.0. Heard I could trick the ecu be making it think it is in neutral but id rather source a ecu.

So I'm hoping to do the same thing and would love to know the hang ups and hardships to plan for. Couple questions. One is the wiring harness issues and two is the clutch assembly installation. Anything would be helpful.
