3.4 to 86 swap help

got a 3.4 from a taco want to put in my 86 its not efi its carburated not to sure were to start mainley with the wireing need to get a harness and computer just looking to get more power did a exo cage and the stock 22r isnt doing it any info to get started

I'm doing the same swap. Search around here, but most of what you are going to find is 3.0 swaps or EFI swaps. I'm in the "middle" of my swap, but I was lucky to order my harness before ORS closed their doors. There is a guy on here who makes 3.0 harnesses and I would assume it would be easier to make one for an 22R equipped truck. I can take some pictures of mine for you if you need it, it's already in my cab, but not hooked up. You're wiring is the biggest part. You will need to figure out fuel supply/lines (I just got a 3.0 pump for $45), motor mounts, x-over exhaust, and misc. things that you have to do.. evap, battery relocation, etc.

Good luck. I'll put up a build thread once I get closer to being done...I hate build ups that take forever on the internet
