2002 4runner 3.4 into 1998 Tacoma 5lug 3.4

2002 4runner 3.4 into 1998 Tacoma 5lug 3.4
Some of you know I rolled my 4runner. Well I ended up buying a 5 lug tacoma w/ 3.4 and a 5 speed with my insurance settlement. I bought the 4runner back as well and am planning on swapping the 3.4 from that into my truck. The reason is that it only has 90k miles on it and I know the history, compared to 200k and unknown history.
1998 Toyota Tacoma 5lug, 3.4, 5 speed
2002 Toyota 4runner, 3.4, Auto
I PLAN ON KEEPING MY WIRING HARNESS AND MY 5 SPEED MANUAL IN MY TRUCK. Easier swap, and I like the 5 speed a lot.
The truck's cruise control is ran by a cable on the throttle body, where-as the 4runner's cruise control is electronic. I plan on swapping the throttle bodies when I swap motors to keep the old cruise control. I'll clean it all up so no worries there....I think???
Second issue is the headers are pretty damn rusty on the truck and the headers from the 4runner won't clear the frame or firewall on the truck. So I'm looking at getting new headers. The issue is, my 1998 Engine has EGR and my 2002 Engine does not. I don't know all the differences, but I need to sort it out. EGR - compatible headers are $100+ more than there non EGR counterparts. I would like to get rid of my EGR system, but does it have any different sensors or anything connected to my engine harness? What electrical stuff would I have to remove or transfer or add or what not? I NEED THIS TO PASS A STATE TEST, NO BS. I don't want to throw check engine lights.
