No body lift. I don't know what luck you'll have even with a P/N. I bought the scoop from a Toyota dealer in Greece.

I'll see if I can dig the receipt up somewhere though and I'll post the PN up for you.

Anybody know if the block and engine wiring harness from a 1997 3.4l T100 4x2 work on a 1997 3.4l 4x4 ecu? I had the ecu from the original donor but the truck got hit in that area and the ecu is shot....

does it matter if its 4x2 or 4x4?
right now all i need for my conversion would be the ecu.... and of course the exhaust part. but im not worried about that part. its the dang ecu

This is a manual trans btw.

HELP ME PLEASE lol

This might be a dumb question , but what is the T-case switch for and where is this wire coming from. Thanks.

There is a switch on the side of your transfer case. It's up near the top close to your shifters on the passenger side. It pretty much just functions to operate the light on your dash that tells you you are in 4wd.

Take a look. If you can't find it I think I have a pic somewhere I can post up.

Thanks man. So I just need to splice into my 91 4runner wiring to wire up the switch on my gear driven T-case?

It's been awhile but I think you woulld have to route it to the IH2 or IK2 conector (can't remember what they are called) or maybe even the 3.4 ECU.

Probably not the ECU since on the older trucks having it in 4wd doesn't disable any other features that I can remember. It probably JUST operates the light.

You need to look at some wiring diagrams.

Gonna try. going throught the process of getting everything together. And gotta rebiuld the 3.4 first. It spun a rod. The truck it's going into is an 89 X-tra cab with the 3.0 and an automatic.
I found a 5 speed for it for $300. got the motor with the wire harness, coils, intake, for $350 and a two hrs drive. Slowly but surely.
That and on top of it all. I have a 4 1/2 yrs. old at home. Her momma's in Iraq. So I have a full plate
It's All Good.

Update:
Well it's been on the road for just shy of 18 months since the swap was completed and not a single issue. It's been wheeled hard for 2 seasons and runs like a top. Still lovin this swap. Definitely pays to sweat the details.

Awesome thread man! you do clean work! I did all the wiring myself and the only drag up i've got is the RPM gauge and the Speedometer. I have an electronic speed sensor and had to run 3 wires to my ECU but im not sure where they go to. im curious if any of them go to the ECU? any suggestions? my wire colors are different then yours but any help would be great

Any chance you have the pictures saved somewhere that you can retrieve them? That's the worst part of trying to use this site for a swap. All the popular swaps like yours wont show any pictures.
