2000 A/T motor w/97 M/T wiring

Was wondering if I could use the M/T wiring & ECU off a 97 on my A/T 2000 motor? Any sensors/parts that I need to steal off the 97 motor that have different plugs then what comes on the 2000 motor? Gonna be diving into my swap in a few weeks & can't afford to have my truck down for too long. I'd use the 97 motor, but it's got 200K on it vs. the 80K on the 2000. I have the whole wrecked 97 4runner so parts off it are no problem, but only the loose 2000 engine/wiring laying around

hey Ron I have a question on this.

Are you saying that you had a drive by wire (electric) throttle body and simply changed the throttle body to an older, cable driven throttle body and all worked well.

I found a 2001 Runner for a donor i think, but I am thinking that new would be drive by wire so i have been avoiding it. If its simply sourcing an older throttle body and replacing , then I will look into it more.

thanks

Big Ron,

Which O2 sensors did you use- 97s or 03s, or does it matter?

Thanks
