transmission shop

can anyone recomend a tranny shop in the DC/MD/VA area. I have a feeling its something simple and dont want to hear "you need a new tranny" $$$$. it might be a solenoid, TPS or kickdown cable.

You could try adjusting the transmission's "kick down cable" there at the throttle body to remove the slack in it, as this will improve the shifting.
It just may be that the cable has become so loose that it is not going into OD.
Other than that, have you checked the transmission fluid level lately... the correct way ??
Info for both of these suggestions can be found with the "search" feature and good luck!

I am going through that process right now. I was driving along at 70mph yesterday when mine grenaded. I have another thread going right now about prices and such.
