I bought my 87 runner without a rear window wiper and now that ive been driving it a lot i noticed that it would be a really nice thing to be able to see out my back window and was wondering were i could find on that would work. I tried looking at some of the local salvage yards but they don't have any 4runners. So i was wondering if i could take one off somthing else and make it work??

I've got a dumb question: Do the 1st gen 4Runners have rear wipers from the factory? Do you have the little gear studd sticking out, or are you wanting to get a motor and the whole assembly? If all you need is the arm and blade, I would probably just go to the dealer and get everything. When I got my 2nd gen, all it had was the little gear studd coming out of the back. I bought the blade, arm, all that stuff for less than $50.

4Runners seem hard to find in salvage yards, so $50 might be worth it just to get it from the dealer.

Anyhow, hope I was of some use.
