please help!

I need to replace a hose and I cannot seem to tell anyone at a toyota dealer which hose i need. Do any of you guys know what this hose is? It is the hose that is in front. The hose is about an inch in diameter. This hose runs down behind the motor into a metal box type thing which has some vaccuum hoses? attached to it. On the right side of the hose it connects to a metal pipe which has another hose routed from the bottom. The metal pipe then connects to a hose which runs into the firewall just on the right top side of the motor. This is my 95 4runner with the 3vze v6. I recently have noticed it is running hot so i looked today and this hose is torn where it connects to the box thing on the back of the motor. The box thing is a heater bypass valve or a heater control valve i think. Anyways thanks for your help. By the way the hose i need is the one that sits in the hook that is attached to the other large hose that runs into the firewall.

Thanks,
Robert

Hey Lucky3;

It looks like its just a regular rubber hose!!! So i think you can just go to able auto parts shop and pick up some tubeing the same diameter!! But without seeing it in person its tough to tell with one it is!!! The pic is really small!!!
Good Luck!!

Well, I would just replace it with a regular hose but it has almost an s shaped turn in it and in this turn it looks to be reinforced with thicker hose. So, I am not sure if that would work or not.

I think those are heater core hoses. When you go to the dealerhship he should be able to pull a diagram up and you can show him which hose.

Take the hose off and take it with you so they can get it right the first time. Maybe one of your friends or family can take you to the dealers, Mike
