Amsoil 0W30 here, year 'round. Less resistance to flow when the engine is cold, but still that great 30 weight viscosity you know and love when it warms up
It would be interesting to put some senders in the engines that are running 10W30 to see if there is any oil pressure in some spots before the engine comes up to temperature, particularly just after the filter. For my climate, Toyota recommends nothing thicker than 5W30.

I used Amsoil 10W30 in my 86 4X4 Xtra Cab for 248,000 miles (sold it to my brother after that).
Now I use Amsoil 0W30 with SDF57 filter in my 2003 Tundra per their recommendations. Now that they have an air filter available for it I will be using that as well. N. VA has a pretty wide variety of weather and temperature swings.
I've used Amsoil 0W30 in my Chevy van as well since it was new. My sister used it in her 6 Cyl Jeep Cherokee while stationed in Alaska and said she couldn't tell the difference between a cold morning start (-15F) and a summer day (75F) start. The engine turned just as fast. Just some food for thought...
