Do you have an immobilizer in your truck? If not, rather than swapping out a new ignition and locks, consider having an immobilzer installed in your rig. The keys are useless without the immobilizer, and you'll also have peace of mind knowing that your rig is more protected from being stolen by hot wiring, or being driven away with keys. Did you have house keys attached to the truck keys when they were stolen? If you did, do your insurance papers in your rig have your address on them?
Just my 2 cents. Troy

Just have it rekeyed and use your alarm.
What you're seeing under the dash sounds like the the alarm module, but with the alarm "armed", I don't thhink that it would start even with the key because of the built-in starter kill switch. |
