if the engine is cold when you start it, i'd say it's normal...it takes a couple minutes for the coolant to warm up enough to show up on the gauge...i bet it did it before, too, but you just didn't notice it...every car/truck i've ever owned has done that.
might try comparing it to your runner and see if it really takes a lot longer for the taco to register a reading. if it does that when the einge is hot, then the gauge or sending unit is prolly having issues.

Okay thanks, maybe I've got Toyota SUPER red in there or something
![]() Unfortunately I don't have a battery for the 1st gen at the moment but (Tacoma stock died and I needed a replacement ASAP) so that'll probably be one of the first things I do when I get it running again. |
