How much are Factory Service Manuals?

And how readily available are they for an 81 truck?

Call Toyota Publications at 1800-622-2033. Shipping cost is $6 for 4-6 week, $12 for 4-6 day, $20 for 3 day.

I got it from alltrac.net

It looks like the manual's run ~$80

Call and see if they even print manual's for vehicles that old

At $80 I think I will save up $15 and get the Haynes manual to compliment my Chilton and call it good. I am a poor dude to be sure. I haven't got $80 to throw into a manual I may never need.

I know the factory manual will have all of the exact pictures and torque specs etc. for my truck, but does it have an explanation like a hayne's/chilton's?

i just bought a manual for my 85 yota

it ran like $105 out the door from the dealership..... but it took them a couple of days to get it in, they said it would take 7-10 business days, but i got mine in like 3

its damn good.....

however for the basic stuff, the chiltons/haynes will suit you better......

Sometimes they go for around $25, used on ebay.

The manual for my truck costs about 83 + tax...with my buddies discount it goes for around 71-72 + tax...but for my knowledge level and Chilton's/Haynes is JUST FINE!
