It depends on how the vehicle was driven and maintained.
A vehicle driven by Grandma and serviced at regular intervals will almost certainly be in better shape then if some 15 year old kid had it who was only interested in servicing is girl friend. Also if the miles where mostly Highway or City will make a big difference! Highway being the easiest on the drivetrain. Your best bet is to have it checked out by a mechanic and get a carfax report. Just my 2 cents

really with alot of 4runners, too much is probly 500k miles. mine (89 SR5 3.0L) has 450k on it. 350k on the engine in it now (i threw a rod while mudding). and i can still do burnouts. they run forever if you maintain them.

Toyota's only in this family
Quote:
- 1982 Starlet - owned until 1994 then sold at 250K then it was a fleet vehicle to 500K. - 1987 Camry - owned until 1997 then sold at 225K miles. - 1996 Camry - owned until 2005 then sold at 180K miles. - 1999 4Runner (ex-wifes) who cares - the witch is gone! - 1999 Camry (wife's) - running great with 155K. - 2000 4Runner - running great at 96K. I have yet to sell or trade one in that was not at least 180K miles on it. My mother is another Toyota fanatic, she doesnt keep them as long but she swears by them just the same.
