I have a question about repairing a fender flare that was the victim of a careless little kid not watched by their parents....do I sound fired up?

This brat kicked his door open into the passenger side rear fender flare of my '03 Taco. It left quite a gash.

Any ideas on how to repair it cheap?

You know... I'm thinking about painting my flares (they're fading pretty badly) and was debating whether or not to fill any of the scratches I have. Maybe that would be a good thing to do? Just a matter of time before they fade - might as well paint'em all...

Yeah, the flare is fibreglass, and Hell yeah, I approached the little gophers parents, and they said "prove it!" After showing them my Lunar Mist paint on their green Mercedes SUV, the dad agreed that his kid did it.

It took all of my strength to keep me from yanking that towel off of his head, rolling up a rat tail and whippin' his arse.

A mobile dent repair guy says $200.00 for the repair, which is the amount I received from the brat's dad.

What do you think? Is that a good deal, or does anyone know of a cheaper way to fix it?

What do they look like, and where do you get them?

Do they need painting?
