Question Engine Diagnostics

This is somewhat off-topic but my roommate is having problems with his 95 Camry XLE. Its hesitating pretty bad under light loads. His check engine light came on yesterday and I figured we could pull an error code. In my 94 Runner, I connect the TE1 and E1 terminals on the diag port to get a code. The Camry also has these terminals, but it doesnt seem to work the same. Anyone have any idea how to do this on this on a 95 Camry? Afterwards, I assume we pull the EFI fuse to reset the light like in other Toyotas correct? Thanks for any help!

autozone will read the code for free using a diag tool.
