Dealer told me I need a power steering flush?
I took my 99 4runner into the dealer a few weeks ago to have my car's alignment done... I was told I need a power steering fluid flush. He told me that my fluid is old and dirty. I cant find anything about flushing it! Did he just make this up?! I mean.... i've NEVER heard of that in my life!!! Cant I just suck it out and put new ATF fluid in?
Anyone heard of this???

lots of useful information in this thread related to your rig, don't know if yours imparticular needs it.. i say if it's not making noise when steering and you aren't having any issues in that area (besides the alignment) then it's 'probably' ok. toyota is notorious for their 'complimentarly calls' to tack on service here and there once it's in the shop.. some people have experienced toyota trying to add on $2500 in odds and ends.
good luck with your stealer!
*edit*
not again! lol
