Clutch sticks to floor
Hello all. My clutch is sticking down when I push it to the floor. I have to pull it back up with my foot or it would just stay there. If I'm careful and don't push it all the way down it sometimes doesn't stick. Also, the clutch doesn't disengage until the last inch to two inches. Once, with clutch pushed in, the clutch did not disengage. Had to shut it off and pull the clutch up with my hand. Reservoir is full of fluid. Sound like a master cylinder?

Could be master or slave cylinder that's leaking on you. Inspect both areas and look for fluid. If you don't see anything, bleed the system and go on about your business. Chances are, it'll show up again, it didn't happen for no reason.

This happened to my roommate a while back. He had to keep pulling the clutch up with his foot because it stuck to the floor. The truck still shifted fine, and didn't have any noises. When we got home, he changed the slave cylinder, but that wasn't the problem. After changing the master cylinder, he fixed it. I'd bet its one of the two. Check for fluid leaks like Kyle said- something has definitely developed a leak and needs to be replaced.

Yea, that same thing happened to me as well it's most likely the slave cylinder. It cost me like 16 dollars for the part and it was easy fix. Just need another person to help you bleed the lines after you put the new one on.

Same issue here, about 6 months ago. Turned out it was a hole in the hydraulic line. Fixed the hole, filled it, bled it...no more problem.

Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder first. If it's low, fill it, then bleed the slave cylinder really well. Both the master and the slave could still be good but you could have gotten a bubble in through the reservoir when it was low. It happened to me just a couple months ago. The reservoir didn't look that low either.
