2 minor problems?

1) for the last week my clock will not be on when i first get into my truck. but the second i press any of the three time buttons it turns right back on. this rarly happens.

2) when i first get into my truck the first couple of time i hit my brakes it makes a slight "cluncking" noise. i took it to a shop and they checked out my brakes and found nothing..... their is lots of meat on the rear drums and pads and my fronnt pads should probably be done it 3 to 4 months.....i hate when my truck is not running perfet. any ideas?
