Tired 350 thinking about going to a 383 strocker for torque

Hello all,

So what do you guys think? I already have an old 350 that is blowing oil past the rings and want to replace the engine. I have been thinking about a 383 I have always wanted one and now i could get one.

These are what I have been looking at.

http://gilbertautoparts.com/ChevySma...V8s/HT_383.cfm

or maybe one of these:

Just wondering on all of the experts input, before I go and drop like 5k. Also have been thinking of a SOS eventually.

Anyone live in the NORTHWEST that knows about axle swaps?

Thanks,
Nathan

Why not build your own 383 for less?

SOS? Did you mean SAS?
