Swap Redirect

Okay guys- I guess you could call this a "redirect". Just heard that the Lexus V-8 is also a potential candidate to replace our hydrolocked 3.0 in our '92 Runner. Has anyone out there had any experience with this particular engine?? I would rather go that way than trying to engineer in a small block Chevy....

Thanks, DC

Thanks, DC. Being a "newbie", I hadn't thought of taking a look first. I search around..... I appreciate the response

Any engine is a candidate. Just depends on how much fab work and how many parts you want to buy to make it work.

If you are looking for an engine that "drops right in" without major fab work, the only motor that will do this is a 5vzfe 3.4L V6. You just have to adapt the wiring harness, re-route some fuel lines, some custom exhaust work, and some other stuff. No adapters or engine mounts needed.

As said before any engine can replace what you have in there, All of the V-8 are going to need a lot of custom fab work done. Engine mounts, bell housing adapters, wiring conversion. There are also a few site that go into this a tad more. Lexusextremes.com and uzswap.com
