Question RE a 22re to 22re swap....

Hi All,

Just finished swapping my old 22re out for a a rebuilt 22re from Engine House in Phx, AZ. Everything went very smoothly, but I have run into a couple of weird issues now that Ive got it going again.

First and foremost, the truck fires up and runs very smoothly, the timing is lined up and all the plugs, wires, etc are new. All vacuum seems to be in the right place, with no leaks. However, when driving in 1st and 2nd, its dogging down real bad from about 1500 to 3000 rpms. Just doesn't seem to have any guts. Any thoughts?

Also, the knock sensor and throttle positioning sensors are throwing codes, where they weren't doing so in the first place. Could these problems be related?

Thanks for looking any any input if you have any!!

Dana

EDIT:

Replaced TPS and Knock, that problem went away.... now just fix the other 50 things that are broken!

Did you ever get your issues ironed out? I just called Engine house about a 22RE and they sound like a pretty good shop--what is your opinion on them a couple years later?
