I have a '92 4Runner with the 3.0 3VZE and auto trans. We've hydrolocked the '92 3.0 (failed head gasket, and have just aquired a '95 4Runner with 3.0 3ZVE and the same running gear (I believe) that we'd like to use as a "doner" (the '95 3.0 has 30K miles on a dealer rebuild, and runs VERY strong). Can the '95 engine/trans/transfer case be directly swapped into the '92 as a unit into without problem? My concern is whether the '92 computers will communicate properly with the '95 engine and trans (F.I. and shift points etc). I truly appreciiate any input anyone can provide. Thanks!!
