I am planning on putting a chevy 4.3 out of a 95 s-10 4x4 with the TBI, and I am woundering if it is possible to fit the oil pan or use one out of an astro van so that it will clear the IFS front diff. I currently have no lift body or supension lift. I plan to use an advanced adapter to toyota t-case and a 700r4 so I would like to keep the t-case where it is, and I will be making home fabbed motor mounts.
If you want to see the final plan my build up is in my sig, but I will be buying a sfa, after I sell my 3.0, so I would like to avoid any body lift to keep a low COG, once the solid axle is done. has anybody ever done this, I have searched with no luck, it seems like everybody that is doing an engine swap already has the suspension done? I would prefer to avoid the conversion pan, because of price, but I think this might be my last resort.
