3.4 with 35's 5.29 vs. 327 Chevy dilemma

SO I am debating doing the 3.4 or the 327(got a 1967 vette 375 hp motor free just need to rebuild it) swap I know the 327 will do a great job moving my 4ruuner down the road cuz I can build it to 400 plus horse for about 600 bucks but not sure if the cost of adapters vs. the 3.4 swap is worth it.

Now there's the 3.4 swap option and since I have 5.29's and 35's with a 5 speed just wondering if anyone has this set up and can tell me what kind of power I can expect and fuel mileage from the 3.4.

Would it be worth it to do the 327 or the 3.4?? One thing I like about the 327 is you can't beat the sound of a healthy small block and horse power is cheap. Part's are everywhere and cheap no electronics sounds very tempting.

They again a pure 2nd gen with a 3.4 sounds so much better if it get near the mileage my 3.0 has on it(217,xxx and counting) it would be just as money wise as the free 327( has 202 camel hump heads roller rockers direct drive dual plain edelbrock manifold with a 750 holly double pumper) but power wise well no point in that discussion.

Anyway any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated especially from guys/lady's with the 3.4 and 5.29s with 35's.

yeah 400horse at the crank... maybe...Why on earth would you put a carbed Shivy motor in a Toyota? Do the 3.4 and put a stop to crappy motors in Toyota's.

Might break something

With the power on hand, that isn't too crazy of an idea. The locker up front and ifs, kabluoey. The 3,4 would be a bit more manageable and lighter, not to mention that I think I read somewhere that in order for a vehicle to pass an inpection it would have an engine of at least the same year of production as the chassis. ie the vette motor would be too old, smog and all that. that and the 3.4 is relatively bolt in. sell the vete motor to help finance.
my .02.

5.29's will probably be a bit low for either motor with 35's.

Most Taco guys with the V6 run 4.88 with 35's. I would imagine the 327 makes plenty of power to pull the truck with 4.10's or 4.30's...

I would imagine that mileage will suffer, but could very well still be better than the 3.0.
