22r hybrid help- experience please. What is needed

Good day

I have a 79 yota that has a 20r and 4 speed. Tired and weak!

I have came across a early 22r block I think, out of a 83 Toyota truck, is there anyway to identify the early 22 r block?

I need to know what kind of pistons to use , the 22r block I have has flat top pistons. Some forums I have read say I need pop up pistons to build the hybrid. Is this correct ?pr can I use the flat top pistons.

I also need to use the timin chain set up out if the 20r with the dual row chai and gears.

I am wondering if I can use the timing chain cover from the 20r on the 22r block.?????

And the valves on the 20r head, do I need to use bigger valves? How much would that cost roughly to have new valves put in?

Is the crank interchangeable between the newer style 22r block and the older 22r block? The crank in the 22r I want to build into a hybrid is scored up and I have a newer (1985) 22r I could use the crank from??is that doable?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

85 and up blocks have a different block height than the 84 downs everywhere I read says to use the 84 down block because it has the same deck height of the 20R.
