1988 engine to body harness connector identification

I am doing a 1999 to 1988 3.4 swap. My 88 has a 16 pin engine to body harness connector (no problem found the wiring for that), an eight pin engine to body harness connector (found all kinds of pictures and info on 10 pin but mine is 8) also the third engine to body connector is 20 pin and I havent heard of anyone talking about that one. My 88 is an auto transmission. any help here would be greatly appreciated and I would even pay a ransom for the answer to these two plugs!!!!!!

Can you post a picture of the connector? There are 4 sections of harness, main, injector, fusebox/head light harness, and the fuel tank harness. I am not completely understanding your question of engine to body connector.

88 enigine to body connectors

These are the plugs that ran though the firewall on the right hand passenger side the I cut off of the existing engine harness to remove it. One is a yellow connector with 5 wires on the bottom and three on the top and the other is clear or white colored and is two conne88 connectors.JPGctors high and 12 across the bottom and 8 on top.

3.4 swap

The other 16 pin connector wasn't a problem as I had a wiring diagram for that but these two have been a mystery. I need the pinout for these two plugs. Willing to pay!!

The only thing I can think the 16 pin connector is for is the tailgate, wiper, safety on the topper. Seems I recall it is on the drivers side and not on the passenger side. It has been a while since I have had the carpet out of a runner to remember which side the tailgate wiring is on. Not sure of the other connector you are showing.

engine harness

these three plugs are down by the kick panel on the passengers side. The engine harness from the 3.0 came through the firewall and plug into the ECM and the remaining harness wires plug into the other three plugs. I have the sixteen pin plug taken care of it is the picture of the other two that I do not know where they go. All the schematics I have for an 88 dont show connectors and some of the wires in both connectors are the same color making it difficult to determine what goes where.
