At least you got your refund immediately. I've had to file a complaint...

On my 1050 the internal crimps are super cheap. My guess is the MV50 is the same. Swap them out for some real crimps. I fried my first 1050 because the crimps failed and it shorted internally.

My MF1050 came in from the Amazon fairy today. I'm going to take it home, make sure it works, and then tear it apart and replace anything that looks cheap (Crimps, wiring, etc). It's a solid little unit, it weighs a whole hell of a lot more than I thought it would.

I'll take pictures

I know this is a pretty old thread, but I am thinking about getting one of these MV50 compressors and am wondering how they have held up.

Thanks!

Mine hasn't run in years. The other reed valve broke. Honestly, in retrospect I wish I had just put the $50 toward a CO2 tank, which is what I have been using for the past two years.

I used mine for about 2 years, maybe twice a month during that time. Then the bottom of the piston became detached from the shaft. I fixed it once but it broke again the next time I used it. For the price it wasn't too bad.
