OHV rules for CA

hey guys, this is definitely a newb question. i've tried google, can't seem to find anything. i was wonderin if anyone knew or could link me to some info on CA OHV registration. i'm pretty sure that's a real thing right?? specifically what regulations your vehicle has to meet, how much it costs to register and how often, smog stuff, ya know...

you mean like a dirt bike or quad? you would need a green sticker, and you get those through dmv. just go to your local dmv they will tell you everything you need to know

If it's a vehicle, it just needs to be registered.

I'm trying to avoid going to the dmv just to ask questions...

i'm talkin about a vehicle for offroad use only.

just be sure if your gonna goto the a national forrest you need a forrest adventure pass 30 bucks and if your gonna buy one buy 2 with a buddy its $5.00 extra for a second. they are only if you park in a forrest. sucks but better than them closing them or chargin everytime you go in one.
