Thanks Lamm.

I have a Fred Meyer by me too, and will be stopping there Tuesday to get the new Spiderman DVD, so I check there first to see if they have them.

This thread rules! I'm subscribing to it so I can get a list started for my own ride. I guess the first step is to get some sort of box since the 3rd gens don't even have a good spot for jumper cables.
Keep the lists coming!

But I was interested now to see something I had not noticed in 1984: in a long discussion on the flip side, "Why a BANKRUPT AMERICA?" there is a quotation from "Congressman Ron Paul." "I think it is high time that the American people found out exactly what the 'Fed' is up to in its domestic dealings, as well as in its relationship with foreign governments and international banks."

I picked up a couple of these bags from Harbor Freight a while back to hold all of my gear.

One for my recovery gear, one for tools, one for fluids/parts, one for bird hunting gear. I use the space under the front seat for my first aid kit, the space around the jack for the jumper cables, and the side compartment in the back for extra bottles of water and Gatorade.

My action packer broke after a year so i got a locking chest that fits everything and is smaller(amazing what happens when you clean)

10 or 20lb co2
4 tire inflator and deflator
extra hose for one tire.
air chucks and spare parts for the air
2 tow straps
tool kit with sockets and open ends
screwdrivers
lights and lots of them.
2 pairs of jumper cables.(comes in handy when you cant pull up next to someone)
pry stuff and hammering stuff
2 big ratchet straps
4 small
tube of bungies
rope
napkins/paper and a lighter
shovel
highlift
full size spare stock lugnuts and valve cores
valve stem
shock bolts and ubolts

Thats about all i carry right now cause the box filled up fast and i havent finished the can back yet. Once i get that done i have TONS of stuff to go in.

TIP for screwdrivers and pliers and dykes and stuff hit up walmart they have screwdriver kits for 3 bucks and i grab like 3 of them for my truck. and a bunch for the garage cause tools have legs!

I have about 5 bags full of stuff behind my yota seat, but I need to start carring stuff like shovels, and axes, and some other junk, I think I will create a bulit in box for this new yota, and get some more stuff.
Before I wasn't able to use my bed like that beacuse I had to haul my boat, now I have a trailer.

Will have to buy one online probably.
One more reason (from my buying local or online thread) I hate looking for stuff locally, I can never find it.
Saw the same boxes at Wall mart today for about $17

I have about six of these now.
Been getting them at Fred Meyer's for about $17 each.

All of my camping gear and grub is going into them to stack in the rear seats of the rig when they are folded down.

My thoughts on Gun control summed up quite nice:

Great thread and reminds me of how lazy I have been at putting together my onboard gear storage system. My trouble is I have changed vehicles so often I got tired of redoing it every time. That and I am a tech that has to carry a bunch of tools and never seem to have enough room anyway. But I am going to do it now. I am inspired. Will rig out Cass's new ride too.

I was not a boyscout (unfortunately) but being from Alaska my stepdad used to drive semi's in the arctic and he always carried everything... kindoff got in my blood.

Besides the CB, Hi-Lift, air, gas cans and fluids I carry what I think of as the basic shown here..

I need to add spare parts such as CV, belts, ...not completely sure yet on the parts list for an FJ Cruiser... Ideas?
