I say go for it. Weld a 1/4" plate in there like this

welding the front 3rd?
I would not recommend it unless you plan to get chromoly birfs, inners, and hydro assit.. cheap is a lock right under $300 shipped and you can throw it in yourself. weld the rear btw i am welded front and i broke a birf on a flat dry feild I now have longs I also needed hydro assit to keep the bindage from driving me nuts |
