Shackles

Hey, I'm throwing an '83 front axle on my '86 4runner. I have 63's in the rear and will have rears up front. I was just wondering what some of you guys have done for shackles on the back-half of your front springs. I've seen them through the frame, (what I plan on doing), I've seen some with a home-grown mount, been told they need to be offset, some say straight... Does anyone have a picture of their setup?

The frame rails with bushings are wider than the leaves with bushings so either the shackles will have to be offsett or the area around the end of the leaf springs and the bolt will have to have some kind of spacers to take up the gap.

Factory is offsett. My Downey shackles are offset. I don't know how much, if any difference there is between the O.E. set up and the various SAS'es.

I run wide body shackles up front:

Offset amount is about 0.7"/side or about 1.4" overall.
