Pretty sure I came up with the springs. So, I've been hosing them down with wd40. Haven't had an issue.

One of my early projects in 98 had brand new front leaf packs and they would do the same thing.....going slow on the rocks and hard turn to the right I think and BANG!
Sounded like something broke but I knew deep down it was the leafs shifting ....and it was.
.
.
.this was the noisy leafpack...passenger side one......I came to my senses and sold it....and bought a 1992 Toyota standard cab

Had bad death wobble. So, that was fun. The bushings from China were totally trashed so I upgraded to Dave's offroad anti-death wobble shackles. Way mo better.

After fighting this wobble for what seems like forever....I ended up changing all the TREs, pitman arm and both rotors (I may have "accidentally" broke one...). I also replaced the bushings in the springs, removed an overload leaf, added back in an upper leaf and reinstalled the 3 degree caster shims.

Still bad wobble. So, I took the tires off and got them balanced (recommended by Yota genuines). Still wobble, brought tires back in for a second time and got told they're too out of round to balance. Wtf. I put different tires on to verify the tires are bad and viola! no more wobble!

Bought new tires and was super excited except the fact they are actually SMALLER than my old garbage MTRs eventhough theyre the same metric size.

But hey, no more wobble!!
