I would put some gussets an the housing (knuckle and housing). Are you going crossover ? Are you gonna rotate it for better pinion angle ? Are you rebuilding it with new seals and trunion bearings ? Gears ? Locker ?

Yeah I already order the gusset kit, should be here n a few days, as well as the locker(lock-right), knuckle rebuild kit as well with the trunion, wheel bearings and hd axle seals from mc. Unfortunately not changin the r&p just yet, gonna run the stock for right now(outta cash). How difficult or what do I need to rotate for the better pinion angle? And I bought the 4" SAS kit so should come with almost everything I need including the high-steer.

Since I am using I believe a 79 front axle, does anyone know if I will have to change, add or modify anything for the 4" SAS?

Updated pics, after a good long 8 to 10 hours the IFS crap is finally gone! The 4" TG IFS Eliminator kit should be here on Tuesday (Thanks Wabbit), soo looks like another long weekend comin up (gotta get it out of my buddies garage)!

Got my big BROWN delivery Tuesday (Thanks Brian@Wabfab) and started welding on the knuckle gussets last night, just wanted to post a few more pics of the progress. Gonna try and finish up the axle tonight so I can start the painting process on it!

Looks good!! For the steering stops, did you shave the little dammits so they would sit flush inside of the stops?

No I didnt, I just welded them on the top of the stops, didnt see any real need to weld them inside, they should still be alot stronger than stock that way as well, I hope!

Oh yeah they are gonna be alot stronger. I did weld them flush, but I was bored and had the time...lol... it was a PITA... it is amazing how boredom will do to you.

Well still working on it (very time consuming), was tied up this past weekend with other things soo have been just doin alittle here and there after work during the week. But off work next week soo should get it finished up. Anyway I ran into a small problem the other day, has anyone used a 79 or 80 sa? If so how did you bolt the rotor to the hub? From what I have read is that the 79 and 80 sa hubs use 6 bolts to bolt the rotor to the hub and not 6 studs and 2 bolts like the later models. The bolt pattern lines up but the bolts are smaller than the rotor holes therefore leaving some unwanted play in the rotor (not acceptable). Any help you guys can give would be appreciated.

Well finally got the axle mounted and set it back on the ground! Im thinking the 33's look awful small on there now, should look a little better with the 36's. Still have to lift the rear thats why its sitting at an angle in the pics right now. I mounted the front hanger a half of an inch forward like the instructions said but the shackle angle is still too straight up and down looking. I think I am gonna mount it flush and see if it will help my shackle angle, I know they will settle some but its almost 90 degrees to the frame now. So dont think they will settle that much, would like to see the angle at about 15* now and settle closer to the 25 or 30 area. Any opinions or suggestions? Oh btw my fenders were previously cut about 2 inches all of the way around which makes it look even that much taller, had to make some room for the 33's with the IFS.

Well finally almost got this thing back together for the most part, well driveable now anyways. Still have a few loose ends to finish up, right now working on the driveshaft, using the long spline from TG with the modified IFS double cardan and making a spare out of the SA one with the square tubing. Real happy with the project, cant wait to get it out on the trail and oh yeah get some bigger tires hahaha The 33's just arent gonna cut it anymore, plannin on goin to 37's. If anyone is interested in any of the IFS parts email me (I know most everyone on here is gettin away from the IFS but worth a shot)!
