To start you need to find a front axel out of a 79-85' toyota. 85' is most desirable since they have a factory gusset on the long tube, but you can buy and weld in your own. IIRC if you get an 81 or older axel I think they 3.90 gears? Can't remember, 82-85' should have 4.10's. If you check out Trail Gear, or any TG retailer or AllPro offroad, they carry IFS eliminator lift kits that have everything needed to do the swap. You'll need to do some fab work, so if you dont possess any welding skills you may need to hire it out. IFS Eliminator kit will run you around $1200-1300ish depending who you buy it through. There are other alternatives to keep cost a bit lower, but for some one just getting into the yota scene, buying a kit would probably be your best bet. I agree with muddpigg, I would definitely do alot of research before jumping in and buying anything. Good luck with the project!
