i just parted someones project (extra cab on reg cab frame.) it was a mess all i have to do is throw a 4x4 rear end with some decent springs in and sas the front then throw my w56 trans and top shift t-case in. really i hate wires i dont wanna mess with bobbing a bed on both sides and i really like the wheel base of extra cabs. in my eyes a sas bolt a rear end in and swap a trans seems a lot easyer.

i would start soaking that engine in degreaser now so when it comes time you just hit it with the pressure washer, it will prolly need new plugs/wires/cap/rotor any way so just blast it down, then hit it with some acid... mmmm i likey a clean engine..

eck just threw up some more...

those are actually the origonal saets! the ugly seat covers saved em, ya thats what she looked like when i got her. money wise i wont spend much i try to stay smart with building stuff. i bught the donor truck for 250 right (including gass) so ill sell the bad 22r for 100 as rebuildable and the trans and t-case for 100, that leaves me at 50 bucks well i already used the blower motor out of the donor sence the turbo trucks was gone (60 dollar part) pluss i get the bed to bob (decent shape) and doors to cut up and make half doors! not including i need the cross member off the donor truck and other little parts here and there si i figure with buying that truck i saved well 150 for a bed, 75 for doors, 20 cross member, 350 on axles ect so ill save around 6-700 bucks using parts (pluss the money for scrapping the frame and cab. i can get a front hanger for around 75 bucks, frame tubes for 8 each and high steer for 200 from a buddy and ill find a decent set of springs for about 200. so if you add that all up i payed 400 for the turbo truck 200 for the donor, just the money i saved with the donor basickly payed for the trucks, i wont be in it much really. see what im sayin lol??

as stated here...

i think you would be better off just buying each piece of the truck and putting it all back together.. jk.. you got your work cut out.

so when i put the rear axle in i noticed a few things, the stock 2wd u-bolts fit around a 85 rear axle and act as a u-bolt flip kit but the shock mounts are in the wrong spot(im gonna triangulate the rear shocks later when i put lift springs in). and also this might help some people, i screwed both the 2wd and 4wd rear break lines together and made a nice long one.
