I would love to do SAS like this but you have to practically be a welding scientist or have loads of cash to drop at the fab shop. I unfortunately have neither. I hate this economy right now!

Please pardon my noobness (I'm an engine guy, not a suspension guy) what are the pros, cons, and differences of a linking system vs. a leaf & shock system. Is it worth doing if you're on a budget? Thanks!

Good build up, was wondering do you have any drawings of the spring mounts and link arms?

Pros are that it is adjustable, and completely customizeable to a point. You can locate the axle where ever you want, put the travel where you want, and you get rid of the ever annoying axle wrap.

Cons are that it isn't easy to do it right. Its not super hard, but there are a lot of little things you have to ballance out, like roll axis and center, anti dive, bump over or under steer, etc...

And no, its not for a guy on a budget.

Great build OP! Loved watching this one on Pirate.
