Wow, very nice. I always thought about clearancing the front section of the frame to gain compression travel as you did...

Looks like the frame rot was worse than first thoght so we cut it out to start again. Gonna take some time. will be worth it in the end. got the crossmember in for the rear links.

Had to get some shots of how its gonna look. Will be a little sleeper on 36's.

Thought I would put up some pics of how the frame is going. New rails of 3x5x 1/4 which turn out not to really weigh much more than the old one. Definately stronger.

Only 7 1/2 inches, will go with longer when the time comes. These coils were a good deal and will work for me for now.
Thanks for the compliments!

Nice job miese. I am planning on going a similar route.
I have some jeep cherokee long arm parts I'll be using on mine and likely doing a 3 lnk in the front that is very similar.
I helped on a 6" jeep cherokee long arm build with custom arms so I think I am sold on it. I a probably using some 12" SAW coilovers on mine then chevy or f-150 springs in the rear.

Thanks 934rnr. I'll be jealous of the longer coilovers. Been alot of work so far but the truck should be fun. Really if your gonna link the front just do the same on the rear with some regular toyota coils and shocks. I think the linked front and rear will make it handle and work together better.

Nice work man, thats pretty much what I want my rear to look like when I'm done.
How was it to make the upper link mounts?

Truck looks great, just wondering what are the specs for the rear link mounts both on the axle and on the crossmember. Also are those just the stock rear springs and just mounted higher due to the axle bracing

So I wheeled it and was very excited at how well it worked. Alignment was almost bang on had to adjust a little but pretty close. The tires are my only issue and only in their balance. Off road they are awesome! Lots grab on the rocks. I will post up some pics of it finished up close and all the little stuff, making the driveshafts longer, bump stops, locker wiring when I get some time. I need to finish my reno at home because the wife and I are expecting, so wont have any extra time.
