86 pickup 4bt cummins waggy d44 axles
I have looked till my eyes go cross for a couple days now and cannot really find the info im looking for. So here is the build up, I have a 86 toyota pickup single cab long bed that was a 2wd ifs truck i have aready cut all the ifs of the frame. I have fully built dana 44 jeep wagoneer axles with cross over hi steer that im going to use under my truck. I have put a cummins 4btaa, gm nv4500, with jeep dana 300 transfercase in the truck its all mounted and wired ready for drive shafts and axles to go under the truck. I have a 2'' body lift on the truck now, had to do that to clear the bellhousing from cab and i still had to do some cutting and sheet metal work to the firewall. Here is what i cannot figure out, what leaf springs should i run under the truck with the dana 44 wagoneer axles? The wagoneer lift springs from a aftermarket manufactor? or a different spring? what would work best for me.. The axles are full length. The 4bt is a 700-750 ibs engine. I want to run 37's possibly 38's with the most flex i can get. I hope someone can help me here I am in need badly with some pointers and help on what to do. Thanks
