Hello everyone. Just got a 1990 4runner last year, and well it is only used during winters, and to haul things. Took on a project to replace both cv axles, shocks, sway bar bushings, wheel bearings, and lots more that was way over due. Quick question has anyone done the sway to replace the 90 to 91-95 rear tail gate? I don't like the look of the spare tire.

Update:
Finally after two weeks getting all the parts the Front end is finally back together.
New Shocks(Cheapo from Napa)
New Steering Damper(Cheapo From Napa)
Poly Bushings for Sway bar
New Halfshafts
Rebuilt Aisin Hubs(New to me and Way better than the a.d.d.)
Repacked Wheel Bearing
Brake Bleeding
New Rotors
New Brake Pads

Not new to working on vehicles, but new to doing suspension work and axle, have to say went a lot better than expected. The play in the steering is now gone, and the best part no popping when turning.

In your first post you talked about switiching the tailgates?

I just took off my swing out tire carrier, and put the bolts back in the tailgate and body..
I got sick of the swing out myself.

904_Runner thanks for the tip thought of doing that as well. Like the way the 91-95 4Runner tail gates look. But hell of a lot cheaper way of doing it putting bolts back in. Thanks again
