New Member w/ 86' SR5 turbo

Hello,

This isnt my first post but I thought I should properly introduce myself. I recently picked up a 1986 SR5 Turbo extended cab 2wd. Unfortunately its automatic but i'll deal for now. The bed was rotted and hit by a civic, but the frame is in good shape. Im replacing the fenders and fixing some rust, a friend is making a simple flatbed for it, and the frame has been repainted. I'll hopefully get some pics on here asap. The truck is mainly intended for daily driving and getting the best mpg possible. So... I have some questions:

How do I determine what size rear-end I have and what gear ratio?

Do all toyotas have the same lug pattern? Does anyone know of cheap lightweight wheels?

Sorry for being so long winded. Thanks for the help!

The rear end of any Yota pick-up/4runner/hilux surf/hilux is 8".

All 4x4 Toyota's have the same 6 bolt pattern for wheels.

on the side note, how did you land a rare GMC Typhoon AND a hard to find Turbo Pick-up.

The tpyhoon was easier to find than most would think. It was out near Boston Mass. Some rich old lady was selling it on ebay for a reasonable price.

The toyota belonged to a friend of a friend when it got a** packed by a civic. He bought it b/c his father had one but his sister rolled it a long time ago. His father had no use for it and is moving, meanwhile I needed a more fuel efficient vehicle than my gas guzzling 8.1L p/u. So we made a deal.

I will try to get picks of both up here soon.
