new to da yoda forum

Hi all, I am a long time VW owner/driver from aircooled to my Vr6 Jetta today.
I just picked up my second Toy pickup. The first was waaaaay back in 79.
This is a 93 4X4. I am lookinf forward to some fix it ups and some off roading.

question 1
Is the Bentley manual the one most of you use? The VW Bentleys are the bible.. along with the forums.

#2 where can I get the spare tire tools? I have the bottle jack just need the tools.

Thanks A bunch..

Axel in Seattle

Welcome to the forum. I can't help you on question #1 but for the spare tire tools zi would just pick up what pieces you need at the bone yard. I bet most vehicles still have the original stuff around still. Not a big selling item like parts.

Good luck.

sounds awesome! My Son and I have built a number of watercooled dubs
over the years. He just got out of Gonzaga and bought a 02 Yoda 4X4 so
I bought his 93 from him. Love driven the little bugger! He is a pretty fair wrench
so all is in pretty good shape. He pointed me to this site.

Scuba, you should put "Use the search button" in your sig line so that you wouldn't have to type it so much.

Just trying to be efficient.

Welcome!! Yeah, I too am a fan of the old aircooleds. I had a 1962 double cab pickup (aka the surf machine) until the wife told me she got into nursing school, then the for sale sign came out. But now I am on my 4th 4Runner, 3 of them being 1st Gens, and the wife knows she owes me something good when she finishes school. Keep on craigslist, I have found tons of parts on there, including my Supra MAF! And as for manuals to use. Some folks have links to factory service manuals online, much more info then the chiltons or haynes manuals you find in the store. Good luck finding one for your rig!!
