New to the board - 1995 4runner

Picked up a 1995 4Runner, fairly clean, but has a pretty severe knocking. I've swapped engines before (busted 350 replaced with low milage 350 in my 1982 FJ60), but I've never done a rebuild and decided it was time. Per the previous owner the top end rebuild happened not even 40K miles ago, but it didn't last and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a complete block out at the machine shop rebuild to resolve. I've been reading a lot of the information on here and I want to start with a thanks! I've learned a lot already. The only other option I'm considering is the 3.4 swap if the right deal comes along. I'll post up a rebuild or swap thread later to document progress on which ever option I end up going with. Progress will be very slow as time is limited but I wanted to introduce myself. Plans: Overall goal is a mild trail capable ride but still going to be my daily driver - not a high tech crawler.
